A press conference with the director of the Sochi Academy Nikita Leonidov was held in Sochi today.

During the event, Nikita Leonidov spoke in detail about the structure of the academy, noted the success of the teams and shared the goals and objectives of the academy.

About the Academy
"Since February of this year, the academy has been actively developing. Now more than 300 football players are engaged under the guidance of qualified coaches. Representatives of the RFU, who came to us, noted the very work of the academy and the coaching staff.
I like that in Sochi you can play and train all year round on the street. Other regions cannot boast of this.
Our goal and task is to compete with the top Russian academies."

About future plans
"We are working to create a boarding school in our academy so that we can invite nonresident children. But first of all, now we are betting on local pupils.
We are launching a children's camp: two-day trainings on the basis of our academy, theoretical classes, entertaining moments (excursion to the Fisht stadium, chess tournaments, quizzes). We hope that he will work during the holidays.
We plan to hold children's tournaments with the best teams in Russia, and a separate one with international clubs. Negotiations are already underway with Dinamo Tbilisi, Belarusian and other foreign ones."

Interaction with the youth team
"There are a number of players who have been training with the youth team. We constantly communicate with the head coach. We aim to jointly produce a ready-made team with good players, constantly in touch. The head coach of the youth team is present at the matches of our teams. Recently, the senior coach of the main team, Vadim Garanin, was at a match born in 2006."

Internship at the Academy
"Everyone can come and get acquainted with the work of our academy. Watch the training process, communicate with the coaching staff, listen to certain lectures. We have already conducted two full-fledged internships, each for 10 people, and they have already borne fruit. One of the coaches moved to work with us at the academy. For us, this is a search and selection of personnel."
