The Steel Will tournament has ended in Sochi

The adaptive football tournament was held in Sochi from April 24 to 27.

The competition was attended by 70 teams in six disciplines – 550 football players and 100 football players from 30 regions of Russia and Belarus.

On the first day, Sochi took part in the opening ceremony. Dmitry Rubashko, the general director of the club, made a welcoming speech to the participants. And the tournament was opened by a friendly gala match with the participation of the Sochi coaching staff, the general director and his deputy Andrey Orlov. The Sochi team's opponent was a team of RFU social responsibility ambassadors, including former captain of the Russian national football team Alexey Smertin, ex-captain of the Russian national biathlon team Sergey Rozhkov, Paralympic football champion Ivan Potekhin, Olympic champion in athletics Yuri Borzakovskiy. The game ended in a 1-1 draw.

On the final day of the competition, awards were presented to the participants of the tournament by Alexey Smertin, Head of the RFU Project Office for Sustainable Development, Dmitry Rubashko, General Director of FC Sochi, Dmitry Savin, Deputy Chairman of the Sirius Federal Territory Council, Ivan Potekhin, Vice President of the Russian Paralympic Committee, and Lidia Abramova, President of the Blind Sports Federation. All tournament results are published on the RFU website.

The RFU Steely Will Cup was organized by the RFU and was held with the support of FC Sochi within the framework of the approved program "Football Social Responsibility of the RFU".
