Sochi took part in the opening ceremony. Dmitry Rubashko, the general director of the club, made a welcoming speech to the participants. And the tournament was opened by a friendly gala match with the participation of the Sochi coaching staff, the general director and his deputy Andrey Orlov. Sochitsnev's opponent was a team of RFU social responsibility ambassadors, including ex-captain of the Russian national football team Alexey Smertin, ex-captain of the Russian national biathlon team Sergey Rozhkov, Paralympic football champion Ivan Potekhin, Olympic champion in athletics Yuri Borzakovskiy. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.

The Steely Will Cup is a forum for adaptive football in Russia. In addition to the matches, round tables and trainings will be held for the participants of the festival, a creative evening will be organized with the participation of musician, writer, director, screenwriter Vladimir Rudak and much more. Some participants attended the Sochi–Akhmat match at Fisht Stadium.
